Typography and Paper
Although these are mainly Print based I just wanted to look around at ways of making things out of paper and also for various typographic layouts.
I could easily transfer something like this into an animated format.
Paper seems to add a lovely aesthetic and so would work really well on screen as it is something a little different to usual.

AUDIO!
Find sound effects etc on the internet. Royalty free Audio - free downloadable sounds.
Appropriate file formats. AIFF mac standard audio file format.
WAV - pc
MP3
Don't use flac/m4a files. convert to one of others.
file>import>choose file. drag into composition.
Equivalant layer properties when working with Audio. (no transform properties)
'audio level' -volume of audio. (works with key frames)
'0' does not mean no sound - just how it would be played without changing settings.
GROUPING
Parent/child relationship. Layers are attached to other layers by selecting 'parent' on the main layer.

After Effects session 4
Presets and effects.
Select from Right hand of screen. Can be altered within the composition/layer info. Similarly to when you create the layer for yourself.
Settings within layers.
hide layer, constantly rasterise, Quality(slash). (icons in bar of layer.)
Smoothing out, motion blur, Adjustment layer.
