Intermon Oxfam
These images were great to compare with my ideas for one of the Alphabet Soup briefs. Really simple, bold black images on a block coloured background. The images used have been altered to fit the shape of the letters and the letters have also been altered so that the images are still visible as objects.
Very powerful images (control-war, ammunition)
The colours on each poster have been well thought over, considering the message they are trying to get across. Light-hearted or more serious.

What is Graphic Design?

Julien Vallee

It's amazing what you can do with paper. These two images are quite different but still from the same designer. Vallee knows how and when to keep it simple. Paper has a naturally simple quality to it. I his choice of colour in this image below. Each word uses a different font that he has created with Paper. I think its great that every part of it is created with paper, from the sky to the flowers. The above image takes a different approach. Vallee uses nature to add colour to the type he has cut into the plain white paper.

Images all by Michele Angelo, a freelance graphic designer from Barcelona, Spain. He has a mix of hand crafted and digitally produce work. I really love the 'W' as it is something i would never consider doing. He has really played with the texture of the letterform and has given it its own charateristics.
